Each yurt we make is unique, so the above is just a guide.  Please do get in touch with your specific requirements  and we will be happy to offer a personalised quote, Accessories which we often incorporate include:

- fitted yurt insulation
- coloured canvas
- windows
- extra-wide doors, double doors or back doors
- wooden platforms and ramps
- woodburners, flues and flue-collars

Although it is common practise to refer to yurts by their diameter, we find it very useful to consider the floor area as well when thinking about yurt sizes.  It is interesting to note for example that by adding a mere six feet to the diameter of a 16f yurt, you double its floor size.

ordering and terms of business

We always suggest that you get in touch with us in the first place to discuss your yurt requirements.  Every yurt we make is different, and we thrive on a challenge, so please don’t be shy of asking for the impossible.  We are always happy to offer a written quotation, itemizing the options.

We usually ask for a 50% deposit to confirm an order and the remainder upon delivery.   Our terms of payment are 14 days from invoice date, and we accept payment by cash, cheque or BACS. Late payment will be charged interest at a rate of 2.5%per annum above the base rate of interest set by the Bank of England and calculated daily until payment is received

We operate on a first-come-first-served basis and the whole process from ordering your yurt to delivery usually takes about three months.  At busy times and on larger orders, this lead-time can increase.

We usually deliver our yurts in person and give an initial pitching demonstration for free. We charge for delivery on a mileage rate according to current fuel prices.  Please ask at the time of ordering.

The lifespan of a yurt very much depends upon its owner. Therefore we also provide our manual entitled ‘Aftercare for  your Yurt’ which explains in greater depth the pitching, dismantling, maintenance and cleaning operations which should ensure your yurt gives joy for years to come. Any faults in craftsmanship should be reported to us in the very first instance for a speedy resolution.
